Every kid deserves a chance to be a hero!
At Plato Learning we believe there is a hero within every child. Our aim is to give kids the opportunity to discover their best selves, regardless of the price of camp. Every season we award a modest number of free weeks of camp through our scholarship program.

How To Apply

To apply for scholarship to Camp Half Blood Brooklyn, Camp Half Blood North, or Camp Jupiter, please read the application details below.

  • Applicants are limited to one submission per child.
  • Each recipient will be awarded one session of camp.
  • Scholarships cannot be applied to previously purchased camp sessions.
  • Age restrictions for each respective camp apply to scholarships.
  • Scholarships are limited.

Step 1: Please fill out the Scholarship Application online form.

Step 2: Please submit your prospective camper's Artistic Submission to, following the instructions listed below.

Applications and Artistic Submissions will be reviewed starting April 1, and you will be notified of your application status no later than May 15.

Camper Artistic Submission Instructions

Please note that the work submitted will not be evaluated on the project's artistic quality, but on the passion and excitement demonstrated for stories and mythology.

All submissions should be sent to; please include the camp program you are submitting for in the subject line, i.e. "Camp Jupiter Scholarship Artistic Submission"


Camp Half Blood Brooklyn & North Artistic Submissions

Demigods seeking a scholarship should send us a photo or video* entry which tells us a heroic tale, or shows us a mythology inspired work of art. This can be a drawing or painting of your favorite myth, a video of you telling us the story of your number 1 hero, or of a sculpture you made of a god/goddess. Feel free to make this your own and let your heroic creativity flow!

*Video submissions should not exceed 2 minutes in length.

These requirements apply for both Camp Half Blood Brooklyn and Camp Half Blood North entries.

Camp Jupiter Artistic Submissions

Demigods seeking a scholarship for a week at Camp Jupiter should submit a photo or video* entry showcasing a unique craft of their own design. This can be a suit of armor, a new personalized weapon, a diagram of machine, or a real working construct.

*Video submissions should not exceed 2 minutes in length.
