CAMP JUPITER
Camp Jupiter is the program for rising 6th – 9th grade demigods, inspired by the mythology and history of Ancient Rome.
At Camp Jupiter, young heroes embark on an extraordinary journey, elevating their training to unprecedented levels through an exciting array of activities. These activities include engaging in advanced foam sword games, immersing themselves in a skill-focused Live Action Role-Playing (LARP) system, undertaking intricate STEM-based design and build projects, conquering upgraded Olympic challenges, and, naturally, embarking on epic quests to confront the darkest forces.
Campers not only hone their physical skills but also learn valuable lessons in strategy and combat tactics, preparing them for whatever challenges lie ahead. The skill-based LARPing system provides an immersive experience where participants can engage in elaborate storytelling and role-playing, fostering creativity and teamwork.
Campers also have the opportunity to delve into STEM-based design and build projects, where they apply their knowledge to construct practical solutions, blending ancient wisdom with modern innovation. Upgraded Olympic challenges test their mettle and resilience, instilling a sense of healthy competition and discipline.
But the true heart of Camp Jupiter lies in the thrilling quest adventures where campers confront the forces of darkness. These epic journeys teach courage, leadership, and problem-solving in the face of adversity. No matter the danger, Camp Jupiter stands ready, guiding young heroes toward their destiny with wisdom, courage, and unwavering support.

Upon their arrival, campers are ceremoniously sorted into their chosen “legions.” This sets the stage for a week of mythic storytelling and adventure. Guided by their skilled counselors, campers craft a narrative that will define their heroic journey. Throughout their time at Camp Jupiter, they unravel enigmatic clues that lead them on a grand quest, thanks to the ancient art of myth-crafting, the power of storytelling, and the unbreakable bonds of teamwork.
The Pinnacle of Adventure: The Heroic Quest
The climax of this incredible odyssey is none other than the heroic “Quest” itself. Campers find themselves facing living monsters, ancient gods, mind-bending puzzles, daring rescue missions, and epic battles. It’s a thrilling adventure that puts their courage and wit to the test, allowing them to step into the shoes of the heroes they’ve admired in mythology and history.
Within the hallowed grounds of Camp Jupiter, each camper assumes a unique role, dedicated to refining their sword-fighting skills, mastering the art of armor-crafting, and becoming captivating storytellers. For those moments when additional props are needed to enhance their adventures, campers can immerse themselves in dedicated crafting sessions. Camp Jupiter isn’t just a camp; it’s a world where children tap into their inner heroes, cultivating not only their abilities but also their unshakable confidence.

Train Like A Demigod
Demigod training at Camp Jupiter is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines physical, mental, and creative challenges.
Every week at
Camp Jupiter
is different.
Camp Jupiter's Mythology Studies, finds demigods immersed in the tales of gods, goddesses, and heroes through storytelling, activities and crafts. During lunchtime, our counselors enchant with captivating stories of legendary figures like Odysseus and Anansi, Mixcoatl and Hua Mulan, Beowulf and Boudica. Camp Jupiter is where mythology studies come to life through the art of storytelling, creating new heroes every week!
A demigod can't become a hero without going on their quest. Fate demands that we are tested and our campers always rise to the challenge. Mythical monsters from around the world are always seeking to destroy the camp or worse the gods themselves. It’s up to our young heroes to venture into the unknown and dark reaches of their park to stop the bad guys. Battle with monsters, solve ancient puzzles, and unravel the mysteries to keep the magic of camp alive. The treasures our campers bring home stay with them for the rest of their lives.
Swordplay and foam-weapon games are a staple of Camp Half-Blood. Our weapons are made with celestial bronze cores that make them safe for training and devastating to monsters. Our sword training focuses on the development of individual skills and techniques for duels with drills and form lessons. For our big battles, demigods at CHB learn the fundamentals of teamwork, tactical thinking, and communication to thrive on the battlefield. Every program hosts a sword tournament at the end of every week. Train hard, learn from your counselors and your fellow campers, and you might duel your way to the top and take home the champion’s golden sword as your prize.
Every hero has the tools and equipment that keep them safe along their journey. Heracles had his lion-skin and club, Artemis had her silver bow, and the Monkey King had his magic staff. Camp Half-Blood campers are no exception and learn how to turn ordinary materials like cardboard, duct tape, and foam into an arsenal of unique arms and armor from around the world. Want a roman shield, samurai armor, and a Viking axe as your kit? No problem. Our counselors help your camper channel their inner forge-god and guide them through building a creation that is their own.
Demigods don’t shy away from healthy competition and our Olympic games bring out the best examples of their teamwork, athletics, and quick thinking. Events for our games include Laestrygonian Dodgeball, capture the flag, mythological trivia, and stealth games such as Escape Medusa’s Garden. The team that performs the best across all our games is given honors and the day ends in a festival of celebration. Don’t forget to give offerings to your patron god or goddess!
